Opaque dice are made of a particularly dense material for a better feel when rolling. This material also allows for flatter faces and sharper edges. The wide variety of colors is also very consistent so that an opaque Chessex die from years ago will match those available today. These dice are very economical, at a fraction of the cost of others. This set contains one d20, one d12, two d10 (00-90 and 0-9), one d8, one d6, and one d4.

Dice are dice pure and simple but color combinations are pure personal choice. This combination is easily readable.

My only complaint is not with the dice but the amount of dice, I would love to find a larger set combination of d20 dice. This set contains 1 each, d20-percentile set(2d10)-d12-d8-d6-d4. As an avid d20 gamer, mainly DnD, I would like to find a set containing 2d20, percentile set(2d10), 2d12, 2d10 separate from percentile, 2d8, 6d6, 4d4, and shipping with a appropriate size dice bag with a locking slider on pull cord.

5 Stars The sexiest set of dice Ive ever owned
This is, hands down, the sexiest set of dice I’ve ever had the privilege of throwing. I put together a 31 piece set.

and, being green and gold, the two colors of money, I feel like my dice bag is a coin pouch full of monies! I can pick up handfuls and let them fall through my fingers. It’s incredibly satisfying.

the piped d6 have much rounder edges and corners so they roll a bit better than the ones with numbers, and the 20 has relatively sharp edges, but thats always compared to my godly d20 I’ve had since AD&D times. Ive never seen a 20 as round as that one since, so I’m not too worried. This green one has been playing pretty well all in all.

Chessex makes great dice! If you want a set that will roll well for you #1 buy chessex, and #2 buy a set that you will be proud to pour out onto the gaming table. If you dice are just dice, then they wont be as nice (at least thats my experience), but when you truly love you dice they will love you back.

check out all of the colors. there are a few blue sets that I think rival this set in sexy-ness.

5 Stars The last word in polyhedral dice!
So these are very nice dice. They are manufactured to a very high standard of quality somewhere in Germany.

Looking closely at the dice, one can tell that the swirls of plastic that make up the pattern known as “scarab” are actually being viewed beneath a thin coat of clear plastic resin. Beautiful.

When looking closely at the numbers on the facets, the paint filling the numbers never crosses out onto the surrounding surface.

These dice have an excellent fit and finish.

I rated the durability a three out of five. You might consider them a five out of five as they are no less durable than any other dice made from plastic resin that I have ever touched.

The 3 out of 5 durability rating is due to the possibility of scuffing the surface of such beautifully made dice. If the dice weren’t so gorgeous, then I wouldn’t mind so much if they got a little scuffed. The surfaces are actually quite durable when facing normal use. Not that I’m doing anything abnormal with these dice…

Anyway, I’m very impressed with these dice.

Oh yeah, and educational factor… well, they’re platonic solids. At least I think five of the six shapes are (sorry d10 and d 10%) so that’s gotta count for something. They are also an effective tool in the generation of random numbers. The educational value one receives from these is more dependent on the beholder.

5 Stars Blue Blood is Bad to the Bone
These dice aren’t magical but the color is awesome on them. Made my dungeon master cry when he realized my dice were cooler than his.

I think these may be these nicest dice in terms of coloration I’ve seen in some time. There are a lot of subtle color nuances. I bought them as a gift, and when they arrived I seriously thought of keeping them for myself. The gift recipient uses them almost exclusively, he likes them so well.
